Hartley (1878-1943), the “painter of Maine,” is widely considered one of the most important American modernist painters. His still life composition prints are relatively scarce and are rarely available for purchase. Examples can be found in major museum collections including the Smithsonian American Art Museum, MOMA, the Brooklyn Museum.
