Jack Bookbinder (1911-1990), born in Odessa Ukraine, established himself as an artist in Philadelphia. Recognized as an illustrator, watercolorist, and printmaker, Bookbinder taught art at the Barnes Foundation, the University of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
